The new look for TP Toys
TP are delighted to announce the launch of their new brand identity. During 2007, TP undertook extensive consumer research into their brand identity. To sum up the findings of that research, the old brand orange and blue TP roundel was seen as serious and authoritative but had nothing to do with children and outdoor play! So TP developed a new identity that retains the authority of the old logo but now has a playful, fun feel too. The new identity has tested extremely well recieved and launched with the new TP brochure on 1 January 2008.
The new logo is accompanied by a new strap line - freedom to play. TP seek to champion children’s freedom to play, to reinforce the importance of allowing children the liberty of playing, in a world where parents are increasingly over protective towards offspring. Child experts firmly advocate the role outdoor play has in terms of cognitive and intellectual development, problem solving, risk analysis, exploration and imagination. And of course, the benefits of physical exercise are obvious with the current threat of a childhood obesity epidemic.
Having developed the new identity, TP will be doing lots to tell people all about it. Look out for TP's adverts in publications such as Practical Parenting, Junior, Good Housekeeping, Red, M & S Magazine and Easy Living during 2008.
